The movie’s main antagonist, Kang the Conqueror, was banished to the Quantum Realm by the Council of Cross-Time Kangs (as seen in the epilogue). He spent a great deal of time trying to get away so that he could destroy various histories to stop his Variants from wreaking havoc and causing incursions across the multiverse. However, he is stopped by the ant family, and it appears that Kang dies at the film’s conclusion. On top of that, Marvel Studios rarely uses canonical plots in their MCU productions. Namor, the Silver Surfer, Galactus, Doctor Doom, and KI’rt are just a few of the villains the next film may feature.
