Can you give me the rundown on Snow White’s story?
Based on the Disney animated feature “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” which first appeared in 1937, the live-action film Snow White was released in 2012.
Disney, it would seem, is taking a fresh look at the seven dwarf characters in an effort to avoid repeating preconceptions from the original animated film.
During the D23 event, Zegler, who plays the lead, hinted at the story’s modern updates designed to appeal to a progressive audience.
Disney retitled the film Snow White since the Seven Dwarfs were cut from the original version.
Another new addition to the film is the prince who will win Snow White’s heart. There have been a number of changes made, some of which may dramatically alter the plot from the original movie.

In the Disney classic, who plays the title role of “Snow White”?
Disney has enlisted top talent to play the story’s most recognizable roles in order to ensure that the live-action remake lives up to expectations.
- Rachel Zegler
In June of 2021, Rachel Zegler will play Snow White. “Never in a million years did I imagine that this would be a possibility for me,” she said in Variety’s Actors on Actors series.
In the 2021 film West Side Story, Zegler made her acting debut as Maria Vasquez. She took home the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her performance.
Recently, Zegler portrayed Anthea in the Shazam! sequel based on DC Comics heroes. The divine wrath.
- Gal Gadot
In November of 2021, it was revealed that Gal Gadot would play the villainous Queen.
Fast & Furious was Gadot’s big break in Hollywood, and she went on to play Gisele Yashar in the sequels Fast Five and Fast Six.
After playing Wonder Woman in the DCEU films, Gadot gained widespread recognition.
She will next be seen in Heart of Stone and Cleopatra.
- Andrew Burnap
In January of 2022, it was announced that Tony Award winner Andrew Burnap would be playing the male role in Snow White. But he won’t be voice-acting for any of the cartoon characters.
Burnap will play a different male character, Jonathan. Burnap won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play for his performance as Henry in the 2019 Broadway production of The Inheritance. In 2018, he also made cameo appearances in movies like The Chaperone and Spare Room.
- Andrew Burnap
Martin Klebba made the announcement that he would be playing Grumpy in the remake at the Denver Fan Expo in 2022. Klebba is best known for his role as Marty, a pirate in Captain Jack Sparrow’s crew, in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. In addition, Klebba has acted in productions based on Snow White before. He played Friday and Butcher in Snow White and the Fairest of Them All (2001) and Mirror Mirror (2012, fantasy comedy) on television.
Peter Dinklage, who also has a kind of dwarfism, has praised the film for including the other key characters, the seven dwarfs. In his perspective, showing a group of seven dwarfs sharing a cave is a step backward since it could be seen as offensive to those who are themselves short in stature.
Disney then swiftly stated that they would not be reinforcing stereotypes from the original animated feature by changing the plot and involving members of the dwarfism community in developing the seven characters.

Short clips from the film were shown during the fan convention, including quick glimpses of Zegler as Snow White and Gadot as the Evil Queen and Snow White’s hand falling as the poisoned fruit dropped next to her.
Since the trailer has not yet been released, fans will have to wait to get a sneak peek at the magical film.
