Several months ago in March, Disney made the announcement that many Marvel fans have waited for ever since the company acquired the superhero comic-book publisher in the early days of the MCU. Marvel-themed expansion lands will be developed in Disney theme parks around the world, slated to open in 2020.
It’s late October now, and finally the silence has been broken by new information on what guests in Disneyland Resort, Paris and Hong Kong might expect to experience in the future. For Anaheim, the Marvel expansion land will be at Disney California Adventure, where it’ll replace recently-closed “A Bug’s Land.”
Building up from the already-operating “Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout!” attraction, the possible additions to this new Marvel Land themed area include the following:
- Spider-Man ride – re-themed “It’s Tough to Be a Bug” theater; will provide guests on the ride with interactive prop web-shooters
- Ant-Man microbrewery
- Doctor Strange magic show experience
- Avengers themed attraction – possible roller coaster
- Marvel themed shop
These attractions will quite possibly be uniform on all Marvel Land in other Disneyland parks such as Hong Kong and Paris. Below is how the still far-off Avengers attraction may look like in Disneyland Hong Kong.
