The next Disney film Wish will appeal to young audiences with a blend of Disney’s traditional watercolor aesthetic from its two-dimensional films with their more modern computer animation techniques, much like Moana and Encanto.
“Wish”: Release Date, Intense Story, Informative Trailer, Genuine Cast, and More
On October 16, 1923, brothers Walt and Roy Disney founded the Walt Disney Company, which would change the face of children’s entertainment forever with its innovative approach to storytelling and ground-breaking innovations in animation.
For the past century, Disney has had an unbelievable impact on the world; everyone here can name at least one Disney film that had a profound effect on their childhood.
After purchasing Lucasfilm, 20th Century Fox, and Marvel Entertainment, Disney is now more powerful than ever on the international film scene. After much anticipation, Disney+ is now available to the public.
Considering this, it’s safe to conclude that Disney has big plans to commemorate its 100th anniversary.
We don’t know the specifics of the celebration, but we do know that a special film titled “Wish” will be released in commemoration of the event’s centennial.
Asha, the protagonist of request, is a young girl who wishes upon a star in order to preserve her kingdom, and whose request is granted by the real sending of a star to Earth.
Wish is a refreshingly new take on Disney’s trademark enchantment and fairytale settings.
There have been various announcements concerning the release date, cast, story information, and trailer for Disney’s Wish, the studio’s 62nd animated film.

The Disney “Wish”: When and where did it first appear?
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures plans to distribute Wish in theaters across the United States on November 22, 2023.
There are little plot details revealed, but it serves as a great introduction to the animation style, introducing the audience to some of the most important characters and fantastical locations.
It’s possible that this, like many other recent Disney productions, is destined for Disney+.
Unfortunately, Wish is set to hit theaters, so this doesn’t appear to be the case. It makes fitting that Disney would go this route, given the importance of theaters throughout Disney’s long history and the landmark status represented by Wish.
Even so, Wish will most likely arrive on Disney+ in 2024, so fans who are unable to see it in theaters due to high demand need not fret.
Disney movies often become available on streaming services about three months after they first hit theaters.

The “Wish” Cast: Who are they?
The Wish cast has only been confirmed in a few key roles so far.
Disney’s Wish has only announced its three main cast members as of April 2023.
Ariana DeBose provides the voice of Asha, the film’s main character
Oscar-winning actress DeBose is best recognized for her supporting performance as Anita in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story.
DeBose’s stage career is more prolific than her film career, despite her success in both.
The actor has been nominated for a Tony Award as Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her performances in Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, Les Misérables, and Hamilton.
Chris Pine plays the title role of King Magnifico of the Asha kingdom
Wish’s cast looks a lot like the people they’re portraying, with Pine’s Magnifico looking like the electric blue-eyed actor himself.
Pine has starred in a number of critically praised films, including Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and Star Trek: The Movie as Captain Kirk and Edgin Darvis.
Alan Tudyk returns to the Disney animation fold as the voice of the goat Valentino
Tudyk lends his voice to the rooster Heihei in Moana, the toucan Quasimodo in Encanto, and Duffel in Strange World.
Both “Knocked Up” and “Tucker & Dale vs. Evil” feature him in non-voice acting roles.
Fans should expect Wish to do justice to Disney’s 100th anniversary with these talented actors and a script written by director Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, whose credits include Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph, and Zootopia, among others. The Wish cast has only been confirmed in a few key roles so far.

Is there anything we know about Disney’s “Wish”?
“Wish will follow a young girl named Asha who wishes on a star and gets a more direct answer than she bargained for when a trouble-making star comes down from the sky to join her. Asha a 17-year-old driven optimist, and leader in the making. She will face one of the most formidable enemies in the universe and will have to team up with Star, a cosmic force and boundless ball of pure energy and maybe chaos.”
The imaginary Kingdom of Rosas on the Iberian Peninsula is the location of Disney’s Wish. King Magnifico is the kind monarch who, presumably for the sake of his subjects, refuses to grant their wishes.
Asha, a 17-year-old girl, is one of his subjects; she and her goat, Valentino, are inseparable. Asha discovers a tremendous shadow is approaching the Kingdom, so she makes a desperate request.
She gets what she wished for, but it’s not what she expected. Instead of being granted instantly, her wish causes the star she wished upon to fall to Earth, intelligent but befuddled.
As a result of the star’s enchantment, Valentino is able to communicate with Asha, and the three of them set out across the Kingdom of Rosas to eliminate the impending danger.
The inclusion of a wishing star character is no accident, given that the film is a commemoration of Disney Animation’s first century in existence.
Disney stories often have characters making wishes on stars, such as Gepetto in Pinocchio, Lilo in Lilo & Stitch, and the Walt Disney Company logo, which features a star circling Cinderella’s castle.
Wish will undoubtedly provide new information concerning the storied celestial planet.

Who is the bad guy in the Disney movie “Wish?”
Like the best Disney flicks, this one appears to feature a genuine bad guy.
There’s nothing wrong with having the protagonists of recent Disney animated films face external and internal obstacles; some of these films have been fantastic.
It will be interesting to see a fresh spin on the Disney tradition of creating some of cinema’s most iconic villains.
Since King Magnifico isn’t obviously evil, his subjects may not realize that his true intentions are evil, but this may be because Chris Pine rarely plays villains.

Does “Wish” have a teaser?
On April 27, 2023, Disney released the first trailer for Wish, and while it gives some hints about the film’s plot, it mostly conceals what happens.
At the beginning of the trailer, the words “Disney 100” are written across the bottom of the iconic Disney emblem.
The film’s blend of old and current animation styles makes it a perfect fit for Disney’s centennial celebration.
The camera pans through a Spanish-style village in the Kingdom of Rosas, revealing buildings as stunning as anything the company has animated before.
The movie is animated in a special way that combines CGI and watercolor, making every scene a thing of beauty and amazement.
See if for yourself what all the hype is about with the Wish trailer and the magic of Disney.
