The 2016 American superhero film Captain America: Civil War was developed by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film is based on the Marvel Comics character Captain America. The 13th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it is a continuation of the story begun in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) and continued in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014).

Synopsis:
When the Avengers’ operations cause collateral damage, political pressure grows to establish a system of responsibility. Members of the team are now very divided due to the new status quo. Captain America (Chris Evans) advocates for superheroes to be left alone by the government while they do their job of protecting citizens. Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man strongly opposes and advocates for regulation. Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) are forced to choose a side as the argument develops into an all-out feud.
