Is Nicholas Cage a Marvel character?

While Nicholas Cage has had an impressive career in the film industry, it’s important to note that he is not a Marvel character. However, he did have the opportunity to portray one of Marvel’s most iconic characters on the big screen – Ghost Rider.

In 2007 and its sequel in 2012, Nicolas Cage brought the supernatural anti-hero Johnny Blaze to life in “Ghost Rider” and “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.” These films were based on the Marvel Comics character who sold his soul to become a flaming-skulled vigilante with superhuman abilities.

Although Ghost Rider may be associated with other superheroes like Spider-Man or Iron Man due to their shared comic book universe, Nicolas Cage’s portrayal was limited to these specific movies. Nevertheless, his unique take on this complex character left a lasting impact on fans.

Beyond his role as Ghost Rider, Nicholas Cage has not portrayed any other characters from the vast roster of Marvel superheroes. However, it is worth mentioning that he expressed interest in playing Superman at one point and even named his son Kal-El after Superman’s birth name.
