Unlocking Ancient Machines
Ancient machines become available as you progress through the A Rift in Time storyline. Once unlocked, you can craft three different machines, each with two upgrade levels. Here’s a breakdown of what each machine does and how the upgrades improve them:
- Ancient Cooker:This machine automatically cooks meals for you at the cost of 25 Mist per meal. Upgrades increase the number of meals cooked before needing to be collected.
- Basic: Cooks 10 meals
- Regular: Cooks 20 meals
- Advanced: Cooks 30 meals
- Ancient Gardener:This machine automatically harvests all crops in its biome for 10 Mist per harvest. Upgrades increase the number of crops harvested before needing to be emptied.
- Basic: Harvests 15 crops
- Regular: Harvests 25 crops
- Advanced: Harvests 35 crops
- Ancient Vacuum:This machine removes unwanted items from the Valley, including Night Thorns, Splinters of Fate, herbs, and flowers, for 10 Mist per item. Upgrades expand the range of items it can collect.
- Basic: Removes Night Thorns and Splinters of Fate
- Regular: Removes herbs and flowers in addition to Night Thorns and Splinters of Fate
- Advanced: Removes any non-planted items, including sticks, overlooked minerals, timebending parts, and soil
Crafting Your Machines
To build your ancient machines, head to any timebending table and select the “Ancient Machines” tab. You can only craft the base model of each machine at first. Once you’ve built the base model, the next upgrade level will become available to craft, provided you have the necessary materials.
These materials include timebending parts gathered using your Royal Hourglass. While they require some effort to collect, you’ll accumulate a good amount by focusing on them during your daily activities in the valley.
