Lego has released its next fan-designed kit, a meticulous recreation of the Sanderson Sisters’ cottage from the cult classic Disney film Hocus Pocus, just four months before Halloween, relieving any worry you may be feeling about finding a focal point for your macabre decor.
What makes the Hocus Pocus LEGO Set unique?
Hocus Pocus wasn’t exactly a summer blockbuster when it originally entered theaters in July of 1993, but its popularity has steadily increased over the following 30 years, and it is now a staple for Halloween moviegoers every October.
A huge fan of the film, Amber Veyt used the Lego Ideas website to see her Lego version of the Sanderson Sisters’ cottage brought to life. The final version of the set, which will be available in stores next month, has finally been revealed today. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights.
The Sanderson Sisters’ house from the film will be part of the set. There will be a secret panel in the cottage’s roof that, when opened, will yield film Easter eggs. The set also includes the cottage’s front, complete with railing and budding tree, and a number of movie-inspired props like the legendary spellbook, salt and pepper shakers, and more.
The Hocus Pocus LEGO set, in addition to the home, will have a number of minifigures from the film, such as:
- Dani Dennison
- Allison Watts
- Thackery Binx
- Winifred Sanderson
- Sarah Sanderson
- Mary Sanderson
- Max Dennison
Each figure will come with its own set of accessories, such as a candy basket, a bolt of lightning, and the Sanderson Sisters’ signature brooms (one of which is a vacuum).
