Heavenly Delusion Season 1 Episode 12: Release Date, Plot Summary, The Cast and more for an Upcoming Film
Masakazu Ishiguro is the author and illustrator of the Japanese manga series Heavenly Delusion. Since January of 2018, it has been serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon seinen manga magazine. In April of 2023, Production I.G. released the first episode of an anime television series based on the manga.
The plot follows Maru and Kiruko as they journey around a post-apocalyptic world, and it also follows a group of youngsters who make their home in a school. Ishiguro drew inspiration for the series from a manga he read in college with the purpose of distinguishing it from And Yet the Town Moves and accurately depicting the relationship between the two leads and the evil they encounter.
The manga’s atmosphere of mystery and interpersonal dynamics have been praised. The anime version, which focuses on the same relationship and gender themes, has also been well regarded.

What exactly happens in the Heavenly Delusion?
Fifteen years after a catastrophic event wrecked devastation on modern civilization, a group of young people find themselves living in an isolated institution, cut off from any contact with the outside world.
One of the girls, Tokio, is given the chance to escape the facility through an unexpected message she gets.
Mimihime, another member of the group, has the capacity to anticipate the arrival of two outsiders who will rescue her; one of them will look like Tokio.
Tokio, however, is given a grave warning by the group’s leader, who insists that life outside the facility is nothing but a living hell.
At the same time, a boy named Maru who looks a lot like Tokio, and a girl named Kiruko, travel across the ruins of Japan in pursuit of a destination called Heaven. The survivors hope to locate a secure location among the rubble.
