The teaser trailer offers a glimpse into what’s in store for fans, revealing that Monica Rambeau now works as an astronaut and discovers her own set of superpowers.

The trailer also introduces Park Seo-joon, the South Korean actor known for his roles in Parasite and Itaewon Class, in a yet-to-be-disclosed role. Saagar Shaikh, Zenoiba Shroff, and Mohan Kapur play the roles of Kamala’s older brother, mother, and father, respectively. Meanwhile, Zawe Ashton portrays a mysterious villain, and Goose, the fan-favorite Flerken, makes a highly anticipated return to the screen.

Nia DaCosta, the director behind 2021’s Candyman, will be making her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with The Marvels. This will make her the first Black woman and fourth woman to direct a film in the MCU. DaCosta collaborated with Megan McDonnell, Elissa Karasik, and Zeb Wells to create the film’s screenplay.

But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe.
