ICYMI: Lucasfilm Releases Latest Willow Trailer and Poster

We’re just counting the weeks before we see the return of the titular 80s magical hero that we all know and love. And after more than 30 years, Lucasfilms follows the saga of Willow Ufgood as he embarks on another quest to save his world and foil the plans of an even greater foe. Slated to stream over at Disney+, this latest offering is a sequel to the original, self-titled 1988 film.

In case you missed it, here’s the latest trailer of this much-awaited series.

The series will pick up the story of the sorcerer Willow (played by Warwick Davis) after he successfully protected Elora against the evil forces of Queen Bavmorda. And after more than three decades, it seems that there is another looming threat that hangs over the peaceful world of Andowyne.

There is a lot to unpack in these trailers, and one thing is for sure: there are even larger enemies and evils that are conspiring to destroy everything that Andowyne stands for.

Without giving too many details, the second trailer foreshadows the magnitude of the threat that they face. But our hero will not be alone: Willow will be joined by old and new allies that will aid him in vanquishing this new treacherous evil. But I guess we just have to wait and see until the first episode in the series arrives on the streaming platform on November 30, 2022.

Other than Warwick, the cast of “Willow” also includes Ellie Bamber, Ruby Cruz, Erin Kellyman, Tony Revolori, Amar Chadha-Patel, Dempsey Bryk, along with Joanne Whalley, who reprises her role of Sorsha from the original 80s film.

Check out this latest promotional poster as well. I love the artwork featured in this poster as it underscores the typical Lucasfilm art that the production company has been known for.

So what do you think of the new Willow series? Will you add this to your must-watch series over at Disney+? Drop your comments below to jumpstart the conversation.

Marvel Studios Drops the First Official Trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

The internet is set ablaze again with Disney and Marvel Studio dropping the first official trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Kicking off MCU’s Phase Five of the Multiverse Saga, we finally get to see what is probably the most conniving and evil version of Kang the Conqueror. Watch the reveal below.

Thanks to this trailer, we finally have a closer look at the inner workings of the Quantum Realm including some of its mysterious residents. In contrast to the idea that was left in the minds of fans after seeing the return of Janet Van Dyne (played by Michelle Pfeiffer) from the quantum world, it now seems that this dimension is not entirely uninhabitable.

Owing to the scientific genius of Scott’s daughter Cassie, the family is now thrown back to the Quantum Realm to face the ultimate nemesis of the multiverse saga. This version of Kang is entirely different from his variant from the Loki Disney+ series, and is hinted to be the most brutally calculating of them all. And with the apparent secrecy of Janet Van Dyne with regards to her knowledge of this dimension, the MCU as we know it, will never be the same again.

The Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania stars Jonathan Majors, Evangeline Lilly, Michelle Pfeifer and Paul Rudd, and will land in cinemas on February 17, 2023.

Henry Cavill Will Return as Superman

Though this post may not necessarily be connected with any Disney franchise, it is certainly worth mentioning. After leaks of the recent post-credit scene of Warner Bros’ Black Adam went viral online, I guess the cat’s out of the bag already. I will not say that much with regards to the heavily spoiled Black Adam post-credit scene but will let the Man of Steel himself do the talking. Because as of today, Superman star Henry Cavill has finally confirmed that the legendary Kryptonian will be back in the big screen.

The unofficial reveal came by the way of Cavill’s Instagram post that confirms his return in the DCEU. After the exasperating leak, fans speculated that Henry Cavill’s appearance might only be a sort of one-shot cameo. However, The Witcher star’s Instagramable post has now put all of these speculations at rest. Watch this.

A post shared by Henry Cavill (@henrycavill)

And yes, we heard you loud and clear Henry. With an image that highlights the Man of Steel as we saw him in Black Adam, Cavill confirms that “the image you see in this post and what you saw at the end of Black Adam are just a very small taste of what’s to come”. Understandably, he kept mum about this reveal until such time that the latest DCEU anti-hero film has made its rounds in cinemas. There is no definite date yet on when the next Superman film will come out, but fans will agree that its already a bit overdue considering that it was way back in 2017 that we last saw the Kryptonian in action in Justice League.

Although it may have come as a stunner to some to see him back in the role of Superman, it’s not entirely surprising. Rumors about his return have been spreading lately despite the obvious delays and apparent difficulty of WB’s management to keep it as a secret. This is partly due to the fact that Cavill has now become a household name that is synonymous with the Man of Steel himself, and that replacing him at this point is close to impossible without receiving some serious backlash from fans. He has reprised the role in Batman v. Superman and Justice League, he is well-suited to the character, and has become the definitive Superman for a new generation. Love them or hate them, these modern iterations of Superman has now solidified Cavill’s role in the DCEU franchise, and is now like the steering wheel of the entire DC cinematic universe.

If you haven’t seen it yet, be sure to catch Black Adam in your local cinema starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Aldis Hodge, and Pierce Brosnan.

Brave Coloring Pages

When Disney Pixar’s Brave was released in 2012, it marked several milestones in the history of animated films. The title itself is a fitting tribute to the film’s many firsts: it is a film that featured the talents of Pixar’s first female director, Brenda Chapman; it also made use of the most complex animated visual effects at Pixar’s disposal at that time causing an overhaul on Pixar’s animation system; and the first ever animated film to make use of the Dolby Atmos sound format. Plus, the story in itself is a maverick attempt to go against conventions to pursue what is truly the desire of one’s heart.

Consequently, Brave bagged the Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature, and was also honored with the Golden Globes Best Animated Feature Film both in 2013. Overall, it earned a total of 19 awards, including 48 nominations – a testament to the superb story telling magic of Disney and Pixar that resonates with the powerful message of courageously pursuing your dreams while strengthening family bonds at the same time.

Big Hero 6 Coloring Pages

Big Hero 6 is in many ways, a courageous film. Other than the brave, anime-inspired characters and artwork, it is Disney’s first animated feature to include characters from Marvel Entertainment since its acquisition of the latter in 2009. The venture turned out to be a huge success, with the film earning $657 million worldwide, and bagging the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film of the Year in 2015.

Well, I’m speaking in terms of numbers but putting these figures aside, Big Hero 6 is one of Disney’s best animated films so far, fusing elements from Japanese manga with those of Marvel’s high-powered characterization. I love the concept of how a group of seemingly ordinary teens can become technologically empowered in their fight against a mysterious enemy. Throw in a fluffy, battle-ready personal health care companion and you have one hilariously action-packed film.

If you love Baymax and the rest of the Big Hero 6 team, then you may want to download these latest coloring pages that we’ve included in our collection. Even after 27 years since its theatrical debut, the magical story of an arrogant, cursed prince and the ever so hopeful village girl never fails to inspire especially when told through the lens of the story-telling wizards of Disney. The Nutcracker and the Four Realms Coloring Pages

We’re just counting the days before Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms hit theaters on November 2, 2018. A re-imagining of the classic fairy tale of E.T.A. Hoffmann’s The Nutrcracker and the Mouse King, this upcoming live action film from Disney’s brings another dimension to this timeless story. So if you’re still planning on how to kick start your family’s holiday celebrations, then perhaps a family date at the cinema to watch The Nutcracker and the Four Realms is a good way to start it off. In case you missed it, here’s the film’s final trailer.

About Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms

All Clara (Mackenzie Foy) wants is a key – a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift. A golden thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer’s (Morgan Freeman) annual holiday party, leads her to the coveted key—which promptly disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world. It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the regents who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets. Clara and Phillip must brave the ominous Fourth Realm, home to the tyrant Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren), to retrieve Clara’s key and hopefully return harmony to the unstable world. Starring Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Disney’s new holiday feature film “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” is directed by Lasse Hallström and Joe Johnston, and inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann’s classic tale (Walt Disney Studios).
