It’s the third day in January, the third day in 2018, and many Marvel Cinematic Universe fans most likely have Black Panther on the brain. The latest MCU installment is still on schedule for its February premiere, the first of three movies from Marvel Studios in 2018.
As if the fan base hasn’t been hyped up enough already, there’s going to be yet another preview coming up for Black Panther next week. The announcement specified that the trailer will air during coverage of the College Football Playoffs National Championship on ESPN which, like Marvel Studios, is under the Disney umbrella.
Said championship match will take place on January 8, and according to the Black Panther TV spot that announced it, the preview will be the final trailer of truly significant length before the movie arrives in theaters. Whether it will show during the game’s halftime or at some other point during the coverage only time will tell.
Other information coming out regarding Black Panther concerns the movie’s running time. Australian movie-house chain Event Cinemas has made a listing in their directory indicating that the film is 2 hours 15 minutes long. It’s not official but comparable to past MCU installments.
Black Panther is directed by Ryan Coogler and produced by Kevin Feige. It stars Chadwick Boseman as the titular superhero and African king, along with Michael B. Jordan, Winston Duke, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong’o, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright and Angela Bassett. Catch it soon in cinemas this coming February 16.
