What happens when you have two burly Gastons from Disney’s Beauty and Beast gather in one room with beer steins on hand? Well, you’ll definitely have one epic sing-off! This is exactly what happened when Gastons from two generations graced the set of UK’s popular talk show, The Jonathan Ross Show as shared by Samantha Sofka from OhMyDisney.
Hugh Jackman started his Broadway career back in July of 1995 when he played Gaston in the Australian debut of Beauty and the Beast, The Broadway Musical. Fast forward after 21 years, Luke Evans now picks up the title role of the brawny character in Disney’s live action remake of the 1991 animated musical, romantic fantasy film. Showing in 2017, Beauty and the Beast features Emma Watson playing the role of Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, and of course Luke Evans as Gaston.
When Jonathan Ross challenged his guests for a Gaston sing-off, all he needs was a couple of beers and a spit bucket to cap it off; and with a Taron Egerton to play the role of LeFou, it can’t get any better than this.
Watch and enjoy!
Disney’s live action remake of Beauty and the Beast is slated to hit US theaters on March 17, 2017. It stars Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as The Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere and Sir Ian McKellen as Cogsworth.
