JAKKS Pacific announced its newest offering in its Star Wars line of popular Big Figs just ahead of the New York International Toy Fair in New York City, kicking off this Saturday, February 13, 2016.
As reported by Stitch Kingdom, the newest Big Fig to be added to the collection of JAKKS’s oversized, articulated action figures is the heroine and darling of the crowd Rey from the highly successful ‘Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.’ This is a very much welcomed and long-awaited entry. Recently, there has been a great deal of uproar from Star Wars fans because of the seemingly deliberate exclusion of the heroine by toy manufacturing giants from the line up of other characters that have already made their way into shelves.
Rey’s Big Fig stands tall at nearly 20 inches, basically the same with other characters in the line up such as Darth Vader, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Kylo Ren, First Order Storm Troopers, Boba Fett and many more, including characters from ‘Star Wars Rebels.’ Unconfirmed reports also mentioned that JAKKS might be introducing a similar Big Fig of BB-8 speculated to be at an amazing 31” inches in height – almost at life like specifications. The BB-8 figure will feature lights, sounds, a retracting tool arm and optional stabilizer pegs for display. We hope to have images of BB-8 soon, and we will definitely check out JAKKS Pacific’s booth at the Toy Fair to hopefully catch a firsthand look at these latest Big Figs.
