Crossover Galore! Olaf To Appear On Sofia The First Episode

Disney Olaf on Sofia the First

Our spirited snowman is back, and this time he will pay a visit to Sofia in her Kingdom of Enchancia for an episode titled ‘The Secret Library: Olaf And The Tale of Miss Nettle’. I guess some crossovers are really worth melting for. Olaf’s special guest appearance is slated for broadcast on February 15 at Disney Channel and Disney Junior. For those who can’t wait to get more out of our summer-loving snowman, this second episode of a four-part story arc may also be viewed online via the Disney Junior app on February 8.

To whet the viewing appetites of our Disney Frozen fans, Disney Publishing Worldwide also announced an earlier release of illustrated and e-book versions of the episode which will be made available on February 2.

Olaf is voiced over by actor Josh Gad, while Megan Mullally will return as the voice of Miss Nettle, a role for which she received an Emmy Award nomination earlier this year.  Eric Stonestreet and Hugh Bonneville recur as Sofia’s flying horse Minimus and the Narrator, respectively. Sofia herself is voiced over by Ariel Winter while the character of Queen Miranda, Sofia’s mother, is played by Grey Anatomy’s Sara Ramirez.

As it seems, Olaf’s crossover debut in Sofia the First no longer comes as a surprise. Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, Ariel and Snow White have all visited her throughout her three seasons, while Mandy Moore’s Rapunzel from Tangled also swung by during another one-hour special.

Sofia The First tells the story of a little girl who becomes a princess when her mother marries the king, clearly ignoring the title rules of British royalty. She carries with her the Amulet of Avalor which allows her speak to and understand animals, as well as summoning cameos from Disney’s extensive princess catalogue to help her whenever she is on a tight spot.

Let’s just hope Olaf will not bring Marshmallow with him. Let’s cross our fingers!
