But wait, I thought they already were united? Well, that may be true currently, but we’ll soon see that it’s not the case after Captain America: Civil War. Everyone’s favorite superheroes are primed to pit against each other on two sides, spearheaded by ‘Captain America’ and ‘Iron Man.’ While this may prove to bring some sad pandas and disappointment, that fretting won’t last long.
Captain America: Civil War directors Joe and Anthony Russo will also go on to lead the upcoming two-part blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War. In a recent interview ComicBook.com, the Russos stated the third Avengers film wouldn’t leave people “disappointed in the amount of characters in the movie,” but then continued to state, “The concept of Infinity War is that the Marvel universe unites to battle the greatest threat to the world and universe that you’ve ever seen, and we’re going to honor that concept.”
A reunion looks to be in store after the May 6, 2016 release of Civil War, and that ‘greatest threat’ mentioned above? None other than ‘Thanos,’ and as a fan of the stories, I honestly have no idea how they’ll overtake him. Needless to say, it will take every hero in the universe. And I can’t wait to see the upcoming films over the next year and a half!
