‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ May Bring Back Marvel Character

In 2018 we’ll be graced with the presence of Marvel’s smallest superhero once more. Ant-Man was a huge success for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, surprising the general audience to the tune of an 80% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and now we can look forward to a follow up.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will bring back Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly to reprise their roles as Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne, while most assuredly bringing back Michael Douglas as Hank Pym. And it’s the last character mentioned that brings the intrigue for the sequel.

Hank Pym is a central character in Marvel literature. He’s the inventor of the technology that Lang uses to create ‘Ant-Man,’ while also being directly involved in creating ‘Ultron,’ though this isn’t portrayed in the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie, and in his backstory lost his wife 20+ years prior to the first film. She died while shrinking so small she was lost in the Quantum Realm…exactly where Scott Lang returned from after defeating ‘Yellow Jacket’ in the first film. Could Pym’s wife, Janet, actually be alive? It’s a possibility for the 2018 second installment.

Check back for more details on Ant-Man and the Wasp as it’s released! We still have some time…
