Damage Control. What comes to your mind with that phrase? I’d imagine comic book heroes aren’t near the top of that list, however, if Marvel and ABC (owned by Disney) have anything to do with it you will. ‘Damage Control’ is a comic book series from the late 1980’s that involves a construction company that cleans up the collateral damage caused by superhero-related incidents. Remember New York after the Avengers? Sounds like a job for this crew.
Both the comic book series and the TV show will follow this same storyline, and the comics were released in mini-series formats, with the most recent one coming in 2008. Ben Karlin, a longtime writer for ‘The Colbert Report’ and ‘Modern Family,’ will be creating the series for Disney, but not many details are currently known. Three other Marvel series are currently doing very well on ABC, so Marvel will milk this as much as possible.
Be on the lookout for more! And here’s Marvel’s page for ‘Damage Control,’ in case you’re curious.
