The partnership that has already taken the world by storm…well, maybe that’s not the case. Maybe it’s still more anticipation and hype, as opposed to the other gigantic partnership in Marvel. But this one will take the world by storm in just a few more months. Which one?
Disney and Lucasfilm.
The mouse-eared company bought Lucasfilm from George Lucas in a record deal a few years ago, and with it ushered in a new era of Star Wars films that will own the box office starting this upcoming December. But what about the other projects? Lucas film wasn’t a one-hit wonder, by any means. Most notably we’ve forgotten about the other Harrison Fore-led franchise: Indiana Jones!
Already a full-fledged worldwide iconic franchise, news recently came out that Disney will work on continuing the franchise with a new Indiana Jones film! No one knows when it will happen yet, but Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy recently told Vanity Fair, “When it will happen, I’m not quite sure. We haven’t started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it.” This would be huge news for Disney yet again, as a fifth ‘Indy‘ movie would smash the box office, too.
Will Harrison Ford come back in the lead role like he is for Han Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens? We’ll have to wait and see. Come back for more info as it comes out!
