And here we are yet again. I’ve mentioned many times before how the live-action remake is taking the movie world by storm. We’ve seen Maleficent, a few Snow Whites, and now Cinderella all get the treatment, and still get to look forward to Beauty and the Beast and The Jungle Book highlighting the big screen once more. And then there was that floppy-eared elephant, Dumbo! Last summer we told you that Dumbo would be getting the live-action makeover, and now there’s some exciting news about the film!

Tim Burton, perhaps one of the greatest directors of all-time, has been hired to recreate the flying elephant Dumbo in real life. It’s a great hire as it signifies a potential look for the film. Burton has previously directed many Disney films, including yet another live-action redo in Alice in Wonderland. Not many details are known for the project other than it will feature both CGI and real actors. So just how will you make a circus elephant fly? Well, that’s the task Burton signed up for. And we can’t wait to see how he does it…

As more details emerge, including a potential release date, we’ll let you know!
