Disney Working on New ‘Tron’ Video Game?

If there was ever a movie that would translate well to a video game, you would think it would be a movie that is based around entering a video game. Makes sense, right? Disney released the next installment to their 1982 movie Tron in 2010 with Tron Legacy, yet no game has been released revolving around the franchise! And rumor has it that there may be a change to that little fact.

While we may not ever get to see a third installment of the Tron series, there is growing hope that a full-fledged video game of the title may be in the works. Tron is already a part of the Disney Infinity 2.0 wave, as seen in the picture above, but a recent quote from Giorgio Moroder, a songwriter and composer, says he’s working with Skrillex to produce music for a new Tron video game. Take a look at what he said in an interview with Clash Music:

Giorgio has been recruited to provide the soundtrack for the upcoming ‘Tron’ video game – something which could involve a certain EDM heavyweight. “I’m going to meet Skrillex next week when I’m back. I’m doing the music for a game for Disney’s ‘Tron’. We have about five themes, electronic stuff and let’s see if he’s interested in remixing or re-working one of the songs.

Now all the fuss could simply be for the Disney Infinity 2.0 release, but our fingers are crossed that it’s for much more.
