Pixar President Jim Morris recently unveiled some details regarding the long-awaited sequel to Finding Nemo that stars one of the primary co-characters from the film we love, you know, the charismatic memory-challenged blue companion to Nemo’s dad Marlin. What’s her name again? Um…I can’t remember. Dorothy? Donna? Deedee? No….Dory! Sorry, had to channel my inner-Dory for a second.
That’s right, Finding Dory is the anticipated film that will release June of 2016, and now we know that the story will take place just a few months after the first film culminated. Nemo, his dad Marlin, and their friend Dory all live on the same reef, but a school field trip for Nemo finds Dory accompanying him as a chaperone of sorts. On the trip memories of Dory’s family and past come rushing back to her, triggering a journey across the sea to…California?!? Yep, it’s an interesting twist to this ocean-based film.
Many other starts are on board to voice characters, such as Ty Burrell as Bailey, the beluga whale, and Diane Keaton as Jenny, Dory’s mom! They’ll all be joining Ellen Degeneres who returns as the voice of Dory! Keep coming back for more details on the film.
