Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is not only one of the longest movie titles in Disney history, but it’s also bringing quite the buzz to the box office in it’s opening weekend. The film, which stars Jennifer Garner and Steve Carrell, follows an 11-year old Alexander (Ed Oxenbould) on a ridiculous journey that begins with gum in the hair and spirals downhill further and further in greater calamity.
The film opened strong on Friday night, and has already received a good critical rating on Rotten Tomatoes at 64%. Projections have the family-comedy pulling in an estimated $6M+ on opening night, which is strong for this genre and the given box office temperature. The projections also carry Alexander and the Terrible… to a second-place finish in the box office for its opening weekend.
Almost anything that features Steve Carrell is funny. Here’s the trailer for the film that is now gracing the big screen!
