I don’t know that I’ve written more about any single movie than what I’ve done for Frozen. The movie owned not only the box office for the past year or so (it seems), but it’s made its way to television and music, as well. Now it’s time to add another venture Frozen is taking to expand its incredible reach in the Disney world: DISNEY WORLD! (see what I did there?)
Tom Staggs, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, said on the official Disney blog that the attraction “will take our guests to Arendelle and immerse them in many of their favorite moments and music from the film.” The plan, as of now, is for the ride to take the place of the current ride Maelstrom. Not that it will take the place of the ride, but rather Maelstrom will be transformed into the Frozen attraction. Maelstrom was built in 1988, so it was due for a makeover.
Frozen characters will be a dominant force in Disney theme parks around the globe this upcoming year, with this project spearheading their timeless place in Disney interactive lore.
