It’s been a while since we’ve gone under the sea on the adventure to find Nemo, but Disney recently announced that there will be a sequel to the 2003 smash Finding Nemo. The title is quite incredible, and shows that the film will highlight one of the best characters in Disney lore: Finding Dory!
While Nemo was the story of finding the little clown fish, not much is known about where this story will go. But Ellen DeGeneres, the voice of Dory, recently had some funny comments about the news:
I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time. I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating ‘Toy Story 16.’ But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny, and the best part is—it’s got a lot more Dory.
Going after some of Dory’s past, this film is set to place one year after the original. How it plays out, though, you’ll have to come back to hear more.
Finding Dory is slated to release November 25, 2015.
