Spielberg to Direct Biopic ‘Lincoln’

Disney’s partnership with Dreamworks looks to add another big picture under its belt later this year with Lincoln, the biopic of the 16th President of the United States of America. Steven Spielberg is on board to direct the film, with Daniel-Day Lewis (The Last of the Mohicans) in the starring role.

The film will focus on the final four months of Lincoln’s life, including his strategic moves to banish slavery from the nation. And no one may be better to portray the President than Lewis, who has an uncanny ability to play historical figures. Here are two first looks at Lewis dressed as Lincoln (scary close in resemblance):

Lincoln is schedule to open to all theaters November 16, 2012. The film includes a cast of Tommy Lee Jones, Joseph-Gordon Levitt and Sally Field. Can ya think of anyone better to play the President? And no…he doesn’t really hunt vampires…
